Yes, not all companies provided the 5C260 cable with the LMU2620. As a courtesy to our customers we add this cable to every LMU2620 purchase. This allows for excellent forward compatibility should you decided you want extra features in the future. This same cable is used for PTO. When installing, make sure the Input-1 wire (should be blue wire) is tied into the PTO. When engaged it should be a high (>4.5vDC) and when off should be a float or ground, it is recommended to check with a multimeter to ensure functionality.

No, due to low power sleep logic, the device does not have consistent contact with the platform or with data service. The device is preset when to report back to the platform, either by a set schedule and/or when certain condition are met, such as movement.

Yes, hardwired units get power directly from the battery, ignition is a separate wire. Units with rechargeable batteries have the ability to transmit with their backup battery.

The “Motion (Accelerometer)” is based solely off of the MEMS accelerometer in the device, so if the vehicle is coasting very smoothly, then it’s possible that the accelerometer will detect no motion.

No, with the LMU3030, it has a separate input for “Engine on” vs “On/Accessory”, so these can be differentiated in our scripts.

There is an external buzzer available for several models, however there is no internal/external speaker or audio available.

Only tested and approved Calamp devices.

The green light is the GPS, the orange light is data communication. When flashing, it means it is acquiring signal or attempting to connect. When the lights are solid, then it has a successful connection. It usually doesn’t take more than a 5-10 minutes to get a connection.
